Zach Ferguson of Fraser signs with Macomb CC basketball

Zach Ferguson of Fraser will continue his basketball career at Macomb Community College, Monarchs coach Jim Twigg said. Ferguson is a 6-foot, 175-pound guard. Ferguson plans to study business at MCC.

Fraser softball standout Opalewski commits to Macomb CC


Bryana Opalewski, a pitcher and infielder from Fraser, has signed a softball letter of intent with Macomb Community College. Opalewski, a three-year starter whose career batting average is over .400, plays second base and shortstop and pitches for Fraser. She has been named to league, county, district and region all-star teams. Opalewski plans to major in physical therapy at MCC, Fraser coach Matt Fishburn said.

Fraser's Swistock signs soccer letter with Madonna U.

Keith Swistock of Fraser signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Madonna University in Livonia, Madonna coach Eric Scott said.
“Keith gives us a tremendous amount of versatility,” said Scott. “He scored a bunch of goals in high school and during the recruiting process I have seen him play holding mid, center back and right back. He is excited to get going and we are excited to have him.”
An honor roll and all-academic team selection, Swistock earned two letters under coach Tim Kick.
Madonna won the 2011 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship.
