Dakota's Byers to play football at Grand Valley State
Jeremy Byers of Dakota has accepted a football scholarship offer from Grand Valley State University, Jason Byers, Jeremy's uncle and an administrator at Anchor Bay, said.
Jeremy Byers, 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, played tight end for the Cougars in 2011, and received Macomb County all-star honors from coaches. He has a 3.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Eastern Kentucky and Saginaw Valley State were among the other schools that made offers to Byers, Jason Byers said.
