A Stallion signs with Siena Heights

It takes a village ...to raise a softball player. With Sterling Heights' player Allison Erickson (center, first row) are from left Sterling Heights assistant coach Melissa Theume, Allison’s sister Danielle Erickson, Siena Heights assistant coach Laura Klutsarits and Christina Harlan, the head coach at Sterling Heights. Occupying the second row are (from left) principal Allison Roberts, Allison's father Dale Erickson, her mother, Lisa Erickson, brother Joe Erickson and Robert Maus, the athletic director at Sterling Heights. Sterling Heights High School senior infielder Allison Erickson has signed to play at Siena Heights University. Erickson also plays for the Vipers Fastpitch club, and is regularly either at shortstop or third base.
"I have been playing softball since I was four years old," said Allison Erickson. "It is my passion. I would give up anything at any given time of day to play a game of softball or even just to practice or train."
Sterling Heights competes in the MAC Gold Division. The Stallions were 9-10 during the 2012 season.
Siena Heights came home from a recent spring training trip to Arizona where the Saints finished with a 7-7 record.

Personal Statement

I have been playing softball since I was four years old. It is my passion! I would give up anything at any given time of day to play a game of softball or even just to practice or train. Whenever I go onto the field I feel safe and comforted. I call the diamond "my home", because I am allowed to be who ever I want and just let out everything in such an amazing way.
